Boom Lifts

Boom Lifts
TPL’s fleet of elevated work platforms includes a range of hard slab and all terrain boom lifts which comply with NZ and leading international safety standards. TPL Access offer a range of options in this area with a choice of diesel, petrol and electric models. From track booms to self drive electric slab booms we have models to suit most site access requirements. All selft propelled boom lifts will not operate when out of level by more than 5 degrees.

Articulating Boom Lifts
Articulating boom lifts (knuckle booms) are used for reaching up and over machinery, equipment, and other obstacles mounted on floors and for other elevated positions not easily approached by a straight (telescopic) boom lift. The machine’s turntable may be rotated 360 degrees in either direction. The upper boom can be raised or lowered from near vertical to below horizontal and extended (telescoped) while the work platform remains horizontal and stable. It can be manoeuvred forward or backward and steered in any direction by the operator from the work platform while the basket is elevated. All articulating models are drivable at full elevation and have chassis widths that provide access to narrow industrial aisle ways and congested work areas.

Electric Boom Lifts
Electric boom lifts are used primarily on indoor and slab applications for reaching up and over machinery, equipment, and other obstacles mounted on floors and for reaching other elevated positions. Electric boom lifts are powered by batteries that are rechargeable through a standard single phase 240 volt electric outlet. All models are drivable at full elevation and have chassis widths that provide access to narrow industrial aisle ways and congested work areas. The latest model introduced also carries an on board generator to repower batteries while in use (refer model JLG M450AJ)

Safety
TPL Access Hire provides a full induction service on all our equipment provided for hire. No unit should be used unless operator induction has been completed and the user is deemed competent. Harnesses must be worn at all times on boom lifts and we encourage high visibility clothing and hard hats to be worn at all times when using any elevating work platform. EWP machines must not be operated within 4metres of all power lines. Please stay 4mtrs away from all power lines.
